This kitchen is a good example of why we don't believe every renovation has to start with tearing everything out.
There was a lot of existing cabinetry here that was still worth keeping. Instead of replacing it just for the sake of replacing it, we worked with what was already there and added new cabinetry and details where they were needed.

We added stacked upper cabinets to take the cabinetry to the ceiling, added glass inserts, changed the door style and added new trim and finished panels. We also built the new custom hood cover, installed a new hood fan and added cabinet lighting.

To make the taller cabinetry work properly, we extended the wall to the ceiling and completed the drywall and finishing. A new tile backsplash was also installed as part of the renovation.

The existing and new cabinetry was then finished together onsite in blue. That's what allowed us to combine old and new without the kitchen looking like pieces had simply been added later.

Every kitchen is different, but this gives an idea of what a renovation with a similar amount of cabinetry, modifications and finishing can cost.

Sometimes the right answer is refacing. Sometimes it's new cabinets. And sometimes, like this project, it's a combination of both.
