Custom Cabinetry Built for a Young Family

For this new custom home in Crescent Heights, the builder supplied Calgary Kitchen Restyling with the cabinetry design and specifications, and we built and installed the kitchen and mudroom cabinetry.
The kitchen combines clean solid-colour cabinetry with rift-cut white oak accents.
Because the homeowners had young children, we used a durable 3DL vinyl door for the solid-colour cabinetry. It gave them the clean look they wanted while providing a surface that could stand up well to everyday family use and was easy to maintain.
The rift-cut white oak cabinetry was finished with a Sheer Beauty stain and lacquer, adding warmth and natural wood grain to the kitchen.

The Result
The combination of the solid-colour cabinetry and rift-cut white oak created a clean, modern kitchen without making the space feel cold.
This project was also a good example of choosing materials for more than just appearance. With young children in the home, durability and ease of cleaning were important, so the door material was chosen with everyday family life in mind.
The mudroom continued the custom cabinetry throughout the home, adding plenty of practical storage for coats, shoes and everything that comes through the door with a busy family.
